When we published the very first Kansai Property Showcase back in September 2024, we honestly had no idea where it would lead.

Our goal was simple. We wanted to make it easier for overseas buyers to discover homes throughout the Kansai region without spending hours searching Japanese real estate websites. Every week, we carefully searched through thousands of new listings, selected the properties we believed offered the best value, and brought them together into one easy-to-read showcase.

We never imagined that what started as a simple weekly project would continue for 100 consecutive weeks.

Even more incredible is the community that formed around it.

Over the past two years, the Kansai Property Showcase has reached thousands of readers, while our content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and other platforms has reached well over half a million individual accounts.

To everyone who has followed along, shared our posts, purchased a home through us, or simply looked forward to each week's showcase...

A Look Back

Before the Kansai Property Showcase existed, we were publishing individual property highlights nearly every day. As our audience grew, we realized there was a better way to help buyers by bringing together the week's best discoveries into one place instead of spreading them across daily posts.

That idea became the Kansai Property Showcase.

Over the past 100 weeks, the showcase has evolved tremendously. We've redesigned the layout, added interactive maps, expanded the number of featured properties, introduced additional property listings, improved the mobile experience, and continuously refined the format based on feedback from readers and overseas buyers. Every update was made with one goal in mind: making it easier for people around the world to discover homes in Japan.

Looking back, it's amazing to see how much both the showcase and Omoroi Osaka have grown since those early days.

Why This Is the Final Weekly Showcase

After 100 weeks, we've realized something important.

The weekly showcase has accomplished exactly what we hoped it would. It has connected thousands of people with properties throughout Kansai, helped countless overseas buyers begin their search, and introduced many readers to areas of Japan they may never have considered before.

But as Omoroi Osaka continues to grow, we've also realized there are better ways to help buyers discover great opportunities.

Rather than spending our time searching through thousands of new listings every week, we're now focusing on building new tools and resources that will help overseas buyers search more efficiently, discover more properties, and spend less time sorting through listings that aren't the right fit.

This means Week 100 will be the final Kansai Property Showcase in its current weekly format.

This isn't the end of Omoroi Osaka, it's the beginning of our next chapter.

What's Next for Omoroi Osaka

Although the weekly showcase is coming to an end, our mission remains exactly the same: helping overseas buyers purchase property in Japan with confidence.

We're already working on several ideas that we believe will provide even more value than the weekly showcase. While we're not quite ready to announce everything yet, our goal is to make it significantly easier for overseas buyers to search for homes throughout Kansai while discovering more opportunities than ever before.

We'll continue sharing featured properties, educational content about buying property in Japan, renovation projects, market insights, and updates across our website and social media channels.

We're also exploring new ways to notify our community whenever exceptional properties become available, along with additional resources designed to make searching for property in Japan even easier.

As these new projects become available, we'll be excited to share them with everyone.
